Go is an Asian board game, over 2000 years old. The rules of the game are simple, as are the elements. Lines and circles, black and white, wood and stone. Two players, black and white, take turns playing on the board. The game is played on the intersections of the lines, and stones do not move once placed on the board. The goal of the game is to control the most territory. Though the rules are so simple, strategy is immensely complex. However, this game is incredibly versatile. It can be relentlessly violent, or surprisingly peaceful.
This blog chronicles my forays into the game, and my goal of reaching shodan (one dan).
